Metal wire Dixon ring also known as θ packing ring,is a kind of small particles packing with high efficient, made of metal
mesh,has the same diameter and height.It is mainly used for laboratory and low-volume,high-purity product separation process.

Dixon filler has a larger amount of material retention than similar solid fillers, and its specific surface area wetting is also more complete than ordinary ceramic rings, with a higher film-forming rate and faster efficiency. The theoretical plate number of Dixon packing increases with the increase of gas velocity and decreases with the decrease of specific surface area wetting rate of the packing.
