Tube settlers use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 55°- 60° and adjacent to each other, which combine to form an increased effective settling area.
This provides for a particle settling depth that is significantly less than the settling depth of a conventional clarifier, reducing settling times.
Tube settlers capture the settleable fine floc that escapes the clarification zone beneath the tube settlers and allows the larger floc to travel to the tank bottom in a more settleable form.
The tube settler's channel collects solids into a compact mass which promotes the solids to slide down the tube channel.

Using tube settler in sedimentation tank ,its handling/process capacity is 3-5 times of horizontal flow sedimentation pook,and 2-3 times of accelerated clarifier and pulse clarifier 

Inclined tube packing tube settler is widely used in sedimentation tanks. When choosing the aperture of the honeycomb inclined tube, the flocculation factor in the particle settling process must be considered first, and the second is the size of the sludge in the sedimentation tank. Generally, Ф35-diameter inclined pipe packing is mostly used for water purification. Sanitary sewage plants often use Ф50 and Ф80-diameter polypropylene inclined pipe packing, which is similar to the Ф80 inclined pipe packing used in coal washing plants with a large amount of sludge in the sedimentation tank. The thickness of the honeycomb inclined tube is also divided into 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm. The thickness of the honeycomb inclined tube is mainly determined by the use environment. The thicker honeycomb inclined tube is suitable for installation in a deeper filter tank, and the sewage filtration rate is in use. It needs to be lowered appropriately, which is more suitable for filtering large pieces of suspended solids in sewage; the smaller thickness of the inclined pipe can achieve a faster sedimentation speed when the water flow is kept fixed, and it is also more suitable for cleaning and dismantling.
