Due to the high opening rate, large voids, large flux and low resistance of Raschig ring packing, the gas and liquid in the packed tower can pass freely, and the gas and liquid distribution in the packing layer is relatively good, especially the inner surface of the packing ring. It is easy to be wetted by liquid, regardless of its orientation, the liquid sprinkled on the packing flows along the outer wall and some flows along the inner wall. In this way, the degree of liquid dispersion is increased, and the utilization rate of the inner surface of the filler is improved. Therefore, it not only has larger throughput capacity and lower pressure drop, but also has high mass transfer and separation efficiency of the column.
