Triangular spiral packing, also known as triangular packing, belongs to Fenske Spiral, which is made of metal wire, and its shape is similar to that of a spring, so it is also called a triangular spring packing, which is different from a spring.

The fact is that each circle wound is not a circle but a triangle, and the triangles between the circle and the circle are staggered by a certain angle. Therefore, it is a polygon when viewed from the end face direction. This packing has high efficiency, but compared with theta ring packing, the separation efficiency is high and the resistance is slightly larger. It is mainly used in laboratories, especially the separation and refining of isotopes in the nuclear industry. The equal plate height (H.E.T.P) is about 25-58mm.

The number of theoretical plates can reach 45 per meter high, which is a commonly used laboratory bulk filler.
